Patricia L. (Bruce) Howells

Patricia L. Howells (nee Bruce), age 80, lifelong resident of Amherst, has gone to be with the Lord and her heavenly family, on October 24, 2023 at Mercy Hospital, after a lengthy illness.

Pat was a true Amherstonian, she lived and spent her whole life enjoying Amherst. Born on April 22, 1943 at the Amherst Hospital to Gerald and Lila Bruce. Graduate of Amherst High School of 1961.

In her early years, she worked at Amherst Sparkle Market. Before retirement, Patricia worked and enjoyed the patients for Dr. Vivian Suico, as her medical assistant for over 35 years.

She is survived by her husband, Terry Howells of 26 years and her son, Dan Rainey of Amherst, and daughter, Julie Rainey Ottoman of Lorain, and step-son Patrick (Brooke) Howells of Henrietta. She also leaves one sister Deborah (Dan) Sechkar of Athens. She was blessed to have seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Lila Bruce, and her daughter Jennifer "Jenny" Rainey.

As per, Patricia wishes there will be no visitation, services will be private.

The family would like to thank her sister, and close friends' Karen Cosme, and Diane Gremba, for all their support in helping Pat and the family.
