LILLIAN URBANSKY Obituary

Lillian Isabelle Filmore Urbansky “Micki”, age 67 and a resident of Vermilion, passed away surrounded by her loving family at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus on Tuesday, January 12, 2021.

Micki was born August 20, 1953 in Far Rockaway, New York. She was a graduate of both Columbia Montour Vocational Technical School in Berwick, Pennsylvania and the Lorain County Community College where she obtained an associate degree. While attending college, Micki was consistently on the Dean’s List. Micki was raised in Berwick, Pennsylvania and resided for several years in Kipton while raising her family. She was employed for 27 years as a surgical technician at the former Elyria Memorial Hospital. Throughout her life, Micki enjoyed casino trips with her sister and brother-in-law, playing the lottery, bowling, playing cards and darts, going to movies, working puzzles, hosting barbeques, creating crafts from driftwood, and most especially she cherished time with her grandsons and family.

Survivors include her daughters Linda Lanham (Scott) of Amherst and Kristine Rittenour (Russell) of Oberlin, grandsons James and Case Rittenour, her former husband Jim Urbansky of Kipton, sister and brother-in-law Patricia Ann and Bruno Raynes of New Hampshire, sister Kathleen Jane Lee of Pennsylvania, sister-in-law Gloria Cobin of Pennsylvania, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mother Lillian Doris Filmore, brothers William Harold Cobin and Martin Thomas Filmore, and her grandmother Isabelle Griffing Nunemaker.

Family will receive friends Saturday, 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. time of service at the Garland-Misencik Funeral Home, 851 Park Avenue, Amherst. Pastor Chuck Livermore will officiate with burial following in Camden Cemetery. Social distancing and a face mask are required at the funeral home.

In Micki’s honor, memorials may be made to Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance, P.O. Box 32141, New York, New York 10087-2141.

Micki will be sadly missed and loved by all who knew her.
