Rosemarie "Ro" Jasinski (nee Majoras), age 72 and a longtime resident of Amherst, passed away Sataurday, June 22, 2024 at the Cleveland Clinic Avon Hospital after a lengthy illness.Rosemarie was born in Lorain, April 13, 1952 to the late John L. and Theresa L. (nee Czarney) Majoras. She was a 1970 graduate of Admiral King High School, a 1975 graduate of Kent State University, where she received a Bachelor of Education, and was awarded a Master Degree from Marygrove College in Michigan. For over 30 years Rosemarie was a special education teacher, first at Vincent School, went on to teach at Durling Middle School, and completed her long career at Clearview High School, always teaching children with learning disabilities. Ro loved cooking for her family and friends and enjoyed shopping.Survivors include her husband of 48 years Victor Joseph Jasinski, son and daughter-in-law Eric and Amy Jasinski, son Todd Jasinski, grandson Alec Jasinski, sister and brother-in-law Eileen and Matt Maiher, brother and sister-in-law Rick and Mary Majoras, sister-in-law Cindy Majoras, one niece, and five nephews.In addition to her parents, Rosemarie was preceded in death by her beloved brother Bob Majoras.Friends will be received at the Garland-Misencik Funeral Home, 851 Park Avenue, Amherst on Sunday, June 30, 2024 from 2-5 p.m. Everyone please meet at church for the Mass of Christian Burial, which will take place at noon on Monday at the Roman Catholic Church of St. Peter, 3655 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain. Rev. Craig Hovanec, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
