Patricia J. "GP" Flores (nee Long), age 77 and a lifelong resident of Lorain, passed away Friday, August 12, 2022 at Mercy Regional Medical Center after a one years illness. She was born August 24, 1944 in Lorain to the late John M. and Alice E. (nee Baum) Long. Pat attended Magnificat High School in Rocky River. For 35 years Pat was employed at the United States Steel Corporation, Lorain where she retired as a crane operator. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, creating stained glass artwork, traveling, and most importantly spending time with her family and grandchildren. Survivors include her five children; Antonio (Kate) Flores of New Jersey, Monica Flores of Lorain, Lisa Flores of Nevada, Kimberly (Michael) Clark of Cleveland, Tracy Flores of Florida; 16 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; brothers Donald (Carol) Long of Lorain and Kevin Long of Lorain, and her sister Karen Long of Lorain. In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her brothers Gary and Michael Long, and sister Betty Williams. Friends will be received 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the Garland-Misencik Funeral Home, 851 Park Avenue, Amherst.
