Marilee (Scott) Westcott, 79, of Amherst, passed away unexpectedly of a sudden illness on Sunday, November 26, 2023. She was born August 16, 1944 in Akron to Kenneth W. Scott and Jane E. (Brown) Scott. Marilee loved spending time with her family, animals, traveling, bingo and crafting.  She was a Kent State University graduate and retired from the Sheffield Lake School system after working 30 years as a speech therapist. Marilee was preceded in death by her loving husband Ron Westcott, parents Kenneth and Jane (Brown) Scott and brothers Clark Scott, Gerald Scott, William Scott, Kim Scott and Harry Scott.  She is survived by her brother John Scott (Marcia) of Amherst and sister Trisha (Scott) Zahn (Michael) of Arizona, step-children Melissa (Westcott) Mileti (Scott) and Brent Westcott, and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday December 8th, 2023 from 2 P.M.- 4 P.M at Garland-Misencik Funeral Home, 851 Park Ave., Amherst.
