Magaret Uhrik (nee Sapolich) entered the Lord's kingdom on Saturday, October 26, 2024. She was born September 23, 1926 to Charles and Katy (nee Simon) Sapolich, and grew up in Lorain.

She graduated from Lorain High School in Class of 1944B and subsequently worked in the U.S. Steel in production planning and at a Western Steel in sales. After retiring, she volunteered at Mercy Hospice in Lorain for 21 years.

She moved to Amherst in 1951 and was a member at St. Paul Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School, served on the Altar Guild, attended bible study, and belonged to Willing Workers.

She was preceded in death by her husband George in 2015, after 69 years of marriage.  She is survived by two daughters, Deborah Bruhn (Paul) of Cleveland Heights and Cheryl Streicher (Randy) of Brecksville, four grandsons; William G. Streicher, Matthew C. Streicher (Kendra), George M. Bruhn, and Patrick U. Bruhn, two great granddaughters Carly E. Bruhn and Robin N. Bruhn, and a great grandson Ryan C. Streicher.

Family will receive friends at the Garland-Misencik Funeral Home, 851 Park Avenue, Amherst on Thursday, October 31, 2024 from 3-6 p.m.  The funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 1, 2024 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 115 Central Drive, Amherst.  Pastor Paul Werner will officiate with burial following in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
