Margaret "Peggy" Alice White, age 79, of Amherst, passed away on Monday, July 29, 2024 at Amherst Manor due to health complications.

Margaret was born June 25, 1945 in Olean, New York to Josephine (nee Blazejewski) and John Abrams.  She was married to Jack D. White on October 28, 1967 and resided in Cleveland most of her life before moving to Amherst.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Colene and William Walker and their four children; Dakota, Nolan, Sydney, and Cael, son and daughter-in-law William and Yulia White and daughters Maggie and Meredith, two great grandchildren Sunni and Rowan, and her sister and brother-in-law Judith (nee Abrams) and Shawn Moses.

Peggy was preceded in death by her husband Jack D. White (2017) and her parents.

Before her passing, she lived at Amherst Manor where she enjoyed needlepoint, coloring, and helping others.  Her generosity was noted by many residents and staff there.

Family will receive friends at the Garland-Misencik Funeral Home, 851 Park Avenue, Amherst on Friday, August 2, 2024 from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:30 p.m.  Pastor David Walker will officiate.  Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery, Amherst.
