Karen M. Robinson (nee Saunders), age 72 and a longtime resident of Amherst, passed away Sunday, September 10, 2023 at UH Elyria Medical Center after a brief illness. Karen was born March 14, 1951 in East Cleveland to the late Edward and LaVerne M. (nee Kapanski) Saunders.  She was raised in Sheffield Lake and was a 1969 graduate of Brookside High School.  Karen was a wonderful homemaker and stay at home mom until joining the workforce after her daughters were grown.  She was employed as an insurance adjuster for State Farm Insurance, working in the Rocky River and Lorain offices until retiring in 2015.  Known as a fabulous cook, she also enjoyed gardening, crafting, and collecting antiques. Survivors include her daughters Trinity H. Robinson of Amherst and Tiffany A. (Nick) Zola of Fairview Park, sisters; Linda K. Bilak of Avon Lake, Beverly J. (Doy) Cadle of Avon Lake, Kathy M. (Victor) Anderson of Lorain, half sister Cindy (Bill) Taylor of Sheffield Lake, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her loving husband Alan A. Robinson (1998) and her mother-in-law Marie Robinson (2022). Private services were held with burial in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township. Garland-Misencik Funeral Home, Amherst, entrusted with arrangements.
