It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Judith Lynne Jones, “Mamoo”, 79, on Saturday, September 5, 2026, after a courageous journey with dementia.

Born on April 19, 1947, in Elyria, Ohio, to Thomas Mabon and Barbara Jean Hazlett.

Judy lived a life devoted to her family. Judy was kind, caring, strong, and resilient. All of which she continued to demonstrate during her challenging journey. She did not allow dementia to take who she was at heart.

Her family takes great comfort in knowing her long battle is over, and she is finally at peace.

She is survived by her daughter Shannon (Eugene) Edwards, her son, Bradley Jones, her granddaughters Madison James and Pamela Jones, her grandson Dakota Jones, her great-granddaughter Addisyn Jones, and her sisters Gail (Mike) Underwood and Molly Panza, and her nieces and nephews. 

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Thomas Wayne Hazlett, her son Vernon Thomas Jones, and her daughter Christen Laura Jones.

A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
