Joseph "Joe" Henry Cesare, age 51 and a resident of Lorain, passed away Sunday December 12, 2021 at Mercy Regional Medical Center after a short illness. Joe was born in Lorain, September 13, 1970 to the late Henry Ford Cesare Jr. and Deanna (nee Wooten) Trent. Joe was a 1989 graduate of Clearview High School and was a member of the United Steelworkers of America. Since 2011 he had been employed as a Chemical Production Operator at Ferro Corporation, Cleveland. Throughout Joe's life he enjoyed the outdoors and taking scenic drives, hunting, fishing, and kayaking, and most importantly spending time with his family and his grandchildren. Joe had a heart of gold, was a good friend who had a contagious laugh, and most of all treasured his family. Survivors include his son Joseph Cesare of Amherst, sister Misty (John) Fortney of Lorain, sister June (Josh) Orr of Pennsylvania, and his grandchildren Lunetta, Sofia, and Ryker Cesare, all of Elyria. In addition to his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by his son Justin Cesare (2019), and grandparents Hubert Wooten and Murray (Stanton) Wooten. Family will receive friends at the Garland-Misencik Funeral Home, 851 Park Avenue, Thursday from 4-8 p.m. The funeral service will be 11 a.m., Friday at Resthaven Memory Gardens (Masoleum) 3700 Center Road, Avon, Ohio, with burial following in the cemetery. Rev. Mark Telepak will officiate.
