John M. Muriello, age 92 and a life resident of Lorain, passed away at Kingston of Vermilion on Monday, August 12, 2024 after a brief illness. John was born in Lorain, December 7, 1931 to the late Marco and Louise Muriello.  He was a 1950 graduate of Lorain High School and served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.  Throughout his life, John was a carpenter by trade who retired in 1994 from the Muriello Construction Company after 40 years in the construction industry. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law John A. and Valerie Muriello of Lorain, daughter Linda A. Muriello of New Jersey, two grandsons John (Amy) Muriello and Michael (Samantha) Muriello, granddaughter Genna (Gabriel) Medina, and many great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his son and daughter-in-law Mark and Sharon Muriello, former wife Darleen Muriello, his brother Tony Muriello, sisters Mary Novak, Mickey DiGintonio, and Antoinette Manilla, and his many dear friends. Graveside services will take place 1 p.m., Friday at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township. Garland-Misencik Funeral Home, Amherst entrusted with arrangements.
