Jennings Ray Mosley, "JR" age 87 and a resident of Amherst, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 15, 2023 after a lingering illness. JR "Ray" was born March 4, 1936 in Horsecreek, West Virginia to the late Jeff and Naomi (nee Copley) Mosley.  He moved to Ohio in 1955 and was employed for the Biedro Price Company in Lorain (a division of Bethlehem Steel) for 43 years. Survivors include his children; daughters Brenda (Tom) Lindenberger of Huron, Glenna Fields of Sandusky, Jo Ann Mosley of Norwalk, son Gary (Shelly) Mosley of Bellevue, three sisters; Ruth Browder of Colonial Heights, Virginia, Belva Dillion of Lorain, Geraldine (Bud) Hughes of Lorain, his brother Ernest Mosley of Vermilion, grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, JR was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years Louetta Marie (nee Hale) Mosley. Family will receive friends at the Garland-Misencik Funeral Home, 851 Park Avenue, Amherst on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 from 11 a.m. until noon at which time the funeral service will take place. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
