Donald D. Norman "Coach Don", age 59 and a resident of Lorain, passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Ames Family Hospice, Westlake. Don was born August 12, 1961 in Medina to the late Ernest Ray Norman and Evelyn Marie (nee Shelton) Norman. Don was a career firefighter and had been employed by the cities New Concord, Grafton, and Vermilion for eighteen years. He coached Elyria Youth Football for fourteen years. He most enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, coaching youth football, Nascar, and fishing. Survivors include his wife of 20 years Michelle M. (nee Morrison), his seven children; Jordan of Farmington, New York, Madison, Cameron, Jayden, all of Lorain, Robert of Cambridge, Samantha (Derrick) of Zanesville, Joshua (Taylor) of New Concord, five grandchildren with two additional on the way, his sister Alice Norman of Shelbyville, Tennessee, and his brother Ernest (Stephanie) Norman of Newcomerstown. In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his brother Gary Norman. There will be a Celebration of Life held at a later date.
