Dallas K. Jones, age 68 and a longtime resident of Amherst, passed away at his home on Friday, March 31, 2023. Dallas was born September 28, 1954 in Cleveland to the late Harley and Helen (nee Metz) Jones. He was a graduate of Maple Heights High School. For many years Dallas worked for the former NL Corporation in Maple Heights where he fabricated light fixtures. He then went on to employment as an assembler for the Ford Motor Company from where he retired after 30 years of service in 2020. He had worked at the former Lorain Assembly Plant and when it closed transferred to the Avon Lake Assembly Plant. In the past, Dallas was a eucharistic minister at St. Martin of Tours, Maple Heights. He enjoyed watching movies both current and vintage. Survivors include his wife of 37 years Therese A. (nee Votava) Jones, daughter Patricia Jones of Virginia, grandson Isaac Jones, brother William Kivon of Westlake, and sisters Helen Kivon of Cleveland and Linda Lucak of Maple Heights. In addition to his parents, Dallas was preceded in death by his son Peter (2010) and brothers Ronald and Dennis Jones. Family will receive friends at the Garland-Misencik Funeral Home, 851 Park Avenue, Amherst on Friday from 6-8 p.m.
