Clara F. Betka (nee Del Boccio), age 98 and a long time resident of Amherst, passed away at Mercy New Life Hospice on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 after a short illness. Clara was born in Lorain, July 11, 1924 to the late Venazia and Adele (nee Spera) Del Boccio. Throughout her life Clara was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and homemaker. She loved to go fishing and shopping and especially enjoyed going on car rides with her son Patrick. Clara is survived by her five children; Jerry (Janie) Betka of Woodville, Sandra Carty of Amherst, Donna (Steve) Pavlik of Lorain, Patrick Betka of Amherst, Kenneth Betka (Cheryl Geisel) of Lorain, eleven grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands Stanley Betka (1984) and William Betka (2010), her daughter Della Wengel (2014), great granddaughter Onyx Betka (2021), and all seven of her siblings. Private family service and burial will take place. Arrangements entrusted to the Garland-Misencik Funeral Home, 851 Park Avenue, Amherst.
