Charles "Charlie" E. Moore, age 74 and a longtime resident of Lorain, passed away Sunday, November 8, 2020 at Mercy New Life Hospice after a long illness. Charles was born April 23, 1946 in Grethel, Kentucky to the late Louis and Zellia (nee Hamilton) Moore. In 1960 Charles and his family moved to Ohio from Kentucky. Throughout his life Charles was a welder. From 1966-1979 he was employed at the former American Shipbuilding, Lorain, then went on to work for two years at the P.C. Campana Co, Lorain, and completed his welding career at General Motors, Parma, where he was employed for 23 years retiring in 2007. All through his life Charlie enjoyed gardening. He attended Little Edna Baptist Church in Lorain and Pleasant View Old Regular Baptist Church in Litchfield. Survivors include his wife of 56 years Mollie (nee Roark), their three children; Anita (Robert) Kubishke, Elizabeth (Roger) Dower, Jason (Jessica) Moore, all of Lorain, eight grandchildren, several great grandchildren, brothers Rolland (Theresa) Moore of Lorain and David (Theresa) Carroll of Clarksville, and his sister Beverly (Tim) Floyd of Wilmington. All services are private and entrusted to the Garland-Misencik Funeral Home, Amherst.
