Charles Frederick Friend Jr, age 73, of Amherst, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in Lorain. Charles was born on December 26, 1951 in Lorain, Ohio and was the youngest of the three children of Charles and Betty Friend. He graduated from Amherst Marion L. Steele High School in 1969. He served in the U.S. Army from 1972 to 1978.

Charles enjoyed his career as an aerospace test engineer. He was a member of the Beaver Park Yacht Club, and he loved to spend time with his friends and family. He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 28 years Bihong; loving children Christopher, Rosalyn, and Andrew; siblings Robert Friend and Catherine Friend Siebert.

Private graveside service will be held Saturday October 4, 2025 at 1:00PM, and a memorial will be held on the same day at 5:00PM at Beaver Park Yacht Club for family and friends.
