Carla J. Galindo (nee Hayes), age 65 and a resident of Elyria, passed away at her home on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 after a short illness.

Carla was born January 30, 1960 in Amherst to the late Carlie and Vesta (nee Miller) Hayes.  She was a graduate of Firelands High School and Lorain County Community College.  Carla formerly owned and operated her own telemarketing business.  She was a well known musician and was a member of the band "SWAK", where she played the piano and sang vocals.  They were referred to as the sweethearts of Cleveland.

Survivors include her son Jesse Gardner (Sarah Keller) of Collins, step-children Naomi Galindo (Mark) and Raymond Galindo (Bridget), two grandsons Austin and Klay, and her brother Aaron Hayes (Lynn).

In addition to her parents, Carla was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Galindo, grandson Ty Galindo, sister Vesta Guss, and infant brother Danny Hayes.

Family will receive friends at the Garland-Misencik Funeral Home, 851 Park Avenue, Amherst on Friday, April 25, 2025 from 6-8 p.m.
