Beverly Jean Mischka went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 28, 2024. She was a resident of Amherst and graduated from Amherst Central School in 1953.  She attended the Cleveland Academy of Cosmetology and worked at the former Higbee's, and May Company, both in Cleveland.  After working in hair styling, she joined her father at Mischka Tailors and took over the business in 1983, operating it until her retirement in 2019. Beverly was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ, Amherst and was active in the choir, mission committee, and the prayer chain. She is survived by her beloved son Terry Deliman of Amherst, sister and brother-in-law Diane and Tim Tarry of Delaware, sister and brother-in-law Bonnie and Kim Shepherd of Delaware, nieces Jennifer and Melissa, and grand nieces Athena and Anna. Beverly was preceded in death by her special daughter Susan Deliman (1978) and her parents Walter (Doole) and Ethel Mischka. Family will receive friends at the Garland-Misencik Funeral Home, 851 Park Avenue, Amherst on Thursday from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.  The funeral service will take place at the funeral home 12:30 p.m., with burial following in Crown Hill Cemetery, Amherst.
