IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Beth A.
(Nee Huffman) Nagy
November 13, 1963 – April 18, 2025
Beth A. Nagy passed peacefully into eternal rest on April 18, 2025, after a courageous battle with multiple illnesses. She was welcomed into heaven by her beloved mother, sister, and daughter.
Born on November 13, 1963, at Amherst Hospital, Beth was a proud 1982 graduate of Marion L. Steele High School in Amherst. She later attended Lorain County Community College, where she studied business. Throughout her career, Beth worked in accounting at Amherst Lumber, Equity Trust, and Great Lakes Brewing Company.
A gifted and passionate distance runner, Beth left a lasting mark on Amherst athletics. She was a four-time State Qualifier in Cross Country, twice finishing in the Top 10, and a member of the 1978 State Runner-Up Cross Country team. She claimed multiple Lakeland Conference titles, setting records across the region, including the 1600m Conference Championship in 1980 as a sophomore. In recognition of her athletic achievements, Beth was inducted into the Amherst Sports Hall of Fame on February 1, 2020.
Beth was beautiful inside and out. She found joy in the outdoors and cherished time spent around the family pool with loved ones. She especially enjoyed traveling with her family—always happy to go anywhere warm! Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren, who brought endless smiles to her life. Beth also gave back to her community by volunteering with the Amherst Athletic Association, where she proudly coached summer softball for seven years.
Beth is survived by her loving partner of 18 years, Richard Clough; her father, William Huffman; daughter, Kaylee (Jordan) Nagy; sister, Barbara (Brian) Bowman; grandchildren, Carter, Brantlee, and Dakota Greenaker; Bovinari Csubak; niece, Jessica Bowman; uncles, Art (Debbie) Deremiah and Cal (Judy) Huffman; and her first husband and dear friend, Rusty Nagy.
Beth was preceded in death by her mother, Betty (Deremiah)Huffman(2004); sister, Bonnie (Huffman) Csubak(2010); and daughter, Jena Nagy(2021).
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday May 2, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Rosebud Party Center, 4505 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain.
Donations in Beth's memory can be made to the Betty K. Huffman Memorial Fund, which Beth established 20 years ago to honor her mother's legacy as an educator. Contributions may be made during the Celebration of Life or directly to the Betty K. Huffman Memorial Fund at Northwest Bank, 175 Cleveland Ave, Amherst.
