Alice Faye Schatz (nee Jones), age 85 and a life resident of Amherst, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at UH Elyria RMC.

Alice was born in Amherst to the late Clarence and Cecelia (nee Wilson) Jones.  Alice had a career for over 30 years and was employed at Amherst Manor as an STNA.  While working there, she was always very attentive to the patients that she was assigned to.  A homemaker, she enjoyed reading, traveling with her husband, singing and her beloved church family.  Most important to her was spending time with her family.

Alice was a charter member of Faith Baptist Church, Amherst.

Survivors include her three daughters; Laureen Pennington of Amherst, Denise Dixon (Duane) of Oberlin, Darrylin Wargo (Michael) of Lorain, 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson, her sister Joan Hines of Indiana, and brother Dale Jones (Nancy) of Wakeman.

In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her husband Darryl (2010), son Terry (2017), sister Colleen Standen, and her infant brother Norman.

Family will receive friends Saturday, June 28, 2025 at Faith Baptist Church, 440 North Lake St., Amherst, from 11 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 1 p.m.  Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Berlin Heights.
