Sean Eric Byrne, 54 and a longtime resident of Amherst, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, April 20, 2023.

Sean was born January 2, 1969 in Lorain to Brian and Connie (nee Reichert) Byrne.  Along with his family, Sean moved from Lorain to Amherst in 1978 and was a 1987 graduate of Marion L. Steele High School.  Sean was employed at the former Marconi’s in Lorain until its closing.  He had worked there for 13 years.  Sean never married or had children.  He had a very hilarious sense of humor and found the funny side of almost anything.  He enjoyed video games, watching ghost stories on television and especially enjoyed reading.  He was very good at crossword puzzles.  His loving family will miss him terribly.

Survivors include his parents Brian and Connie Byrne of Amherst, brother and sister-in-law Aaron and Jeannie Byrne of New Jersey, brother Michael Byrne of Oberlin, uncle Patrick (Karen) Byrne, uncle John Yug, aunt Maureen Byrne, and first cousins; Denise (Yug) Kubassac, Darin (Chrissy) Yug, Ryan Byrne, Christopher Byrne, and ten second cousins.

Sean was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Patrick and Maureen (Maguire) Byrne, maternal grandparents John and Geraldine (Wilson) Reichert, maternal great grandparents Clarence and Margaret Reichert, uncle Kevin Byrne, and aunt Pat Yug.

Sean’s request was that there be no service and his arrangements were entrusted to the Garland-Misencik Funeral Home, Amherst.
