OBITUARY

NILDA I. HOWELL

Nilda Iris Howell, age 74, of Amherst, passed away on Monday, January 3,
2022 and is now awaiting the return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Nilda was born March 4, 1947 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.  She graduated from
the University of Puerto Rico in 1969 with a Bachelor's Degree in Science.

Nilda moved to Ohio in 1972 to raise a family.  She became involved with the
Way Ministry and served with love and dedication for many decades.  Nilda

graduated from the Way College of Biblical Research in 1983 with a
Bachelor's Degree in Theology.  She continued her education by working

toward a Masters of Business Administration from Cleveland State University.

Nilda had a beautiful smile that could brighten any room.  She loved her
family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.  She

spent many hours playing board games, hide and seek and watching Family
Feud.  She was devout in her faith and love of God and his Word.  She

studied the word diligently and was a great example of a woman of God.  She
loved to dance, for fun and as a hobby/activity.  She was involved in dance

lessons and showcases which she enjoyed thoroughly.

She is survived by daughter Irene Montagnese Sayoc, son Dr. Miguel D.
Montagnese MD, three grandchildren; Grant, Jillian, and Weston,

step-children; Anthony (Lisa) Howell, Laura (Michael) Perry, J. (Angel)
Sanchez, and her brother Juan Nieves Zapata.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 33 years, Robert C.
Howell, and her parents Adolfo Nieves and Enriqueta Zapata Nieves.

The recognition service for family and friends will be held Saturday,
January 22, 2022 at the Garland-Misencik Funeral Home, 851 Park Avenue,

Amherst from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m.  Richard Gardenhier
of the Way Ministry will officiate.
