Jennie Ehlert (nee Tartarini) of Amherst, passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 peacefully at home at the age of 103.  She had a love of life, friends and family that was profoundly unmatched.  She left this world surrounded by loved one and friends who will continue to honor her legacy.

She was a graduate of Litchfield High School.  Jennie had worked as a punch press operator at the former Perry Fay Company in Elyria for many years before working in the housekeeping department of Amherst Hospital from which she retired in 1984.  She will be remembered by many for her amazing ability to heal your heart and make you smile with her delicious food and baked goods.  She enjoyed gardening, playing cards, the Christmas Holidays, and being with family and friends.  Her faith as a devoted member of St. Joseph Catholic Church for over 70 years can only show a glimpse of her love of the Lord.  She had a charitable heart and was known for her volunteer work with the American Heart Association and the American Cancer Society.

Jennie is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Irene and Charles Morris, son and daughter-in-law Michael and Virginia Ehlert, granddaughters Frances Williams and Bianca (Andrew) Meyers, and great granddaughter Emersyn Bohannon.  Jennie was loved and admired by other family and friends too many to list.
