GLENN J. CROWE

Glenn John Crowe, 94, passed away on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at Extended
Care in Lexington, South Carolina.  He was born on May 31, 1927 in Lord,
Maryland.  Glenn served is country in the United States Army and Navy in
World War II and the Korean Conflict from 1946-1953.  He was retired from
United States Steel, Lorain where he had been employed for 38 years.

He was a beloved member of the Knights of Columbus Council 4891, Veterans of
Foreign Wars Post 1662, American Legion Post 118, all of Amherst and Amherst
Eagles Aerie 1442.  He made many lifelong friendships through these
organizations.

Survivors include his son William Crowe of Lexington, South Carolina,
granddaughters Holly Crowe and Rachel Crowe, great grandchildren Gavin,
Ethan, and Keegan, all of South Carolina, brother Ronald of South Amherst,
sisters Betty of Sheffield Lake and Emma Walker Preston of Lonaconing,
Maryland, and a host of nieces and nephews throughout the United States.

Glenn was preceded in death by his wife of 71 years Alice Hetz-Crowe and his
siblings; Ida, Faye, Ellis, Edward, Gilbert, Mabel, and Mary.

Family will receive friends at the Garland-Misencik Funeral Home, 851 Park
Avenue, Amherst on Monday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. time of service.  Rev.
Timothy O'Connor, pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Amherst, will
officiate.  Burial with military rites conducted by the Amherst Veterans
Honor Guard will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Amherst.
