Edna D. Mitter, age 63, a  resident of Lorain and formerly of Amherst, passed away at her home on Sunday, May 8, 2022.


Edna was born in Amherst on November 20, 1958 to the late Gerald B. and Elizabeth A. (nee Fowler) Mitter.  She was a 1977 graduate of Marion L. Steele High School, and a graduate of both the Pittsburgh Institute of Art with an associate degree in interior decorating and Lorain County Community College where she obtained an associate degree in accounting.  Throughout her life Edna was employed in the banking industry.  Most importantly, Edna loved spending time with her immediate family and her best friend.


Survivors include her brother Wildon “Wil” (Terry) Mitter of Kansas, niece Shelby (William) Lane of Amherst, nephew Jeremy (Ceara) Mitter of Amherst, great nephew Skylar Frederick of Amherst, great niece Celeste Meyers of Amherst, nephew Duane Rundell of Kentucky, niece Samantha Scalf of Lorain and her best friend Yvonne Shockley of Cleveland.


Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Monday at the Garland-Misencik Funeral Home, 851 Park Avenue, Amherst.
