Noreen K (Henry) Riley

Our dear, sweet, beautiful Mother passed away Saturday, April 13, 2024 at the age of 87.

Noreen Katherine Riley was born in Amherst, Ohio on February 23, 1937 to her loving parents Joseph and Alice (nee McCann) Henry. When Mom was young she was a talented floral designer working at Botamer's Floral Shop in Elyria. She also worked at Department stores where her impeccable taste in fashion was a help to many shoppers.

Mom loved shopping,  nature, and all types of music like Country, Traditional Irish songs and choir hymns.  She loved cooking, especially for her loved ones. Mom loved flowers, jewelry, collecting crystal figurines and watching TV. She was very proud of her Irish Heritage and enjoyed many memories of her father's beautiful singing voice and his sandstone sculptures found throughout Lorain County.  Mom loved her family: her sisters Diane, Pat, Sheila and Michelle and her brothers Terry and Butch. Most of all, she loved her children: Debbie,  Danny,  Mike,  Renee,  Joe, Kim,  Bridget and Desrae. Holidays were special occasions because it was a time when all of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren came together. She truly loved them all.

Mom was humble, kind and generous.She gave what little she had from her heart.  She was intelligent and enjoyed reading,  especially about history. Although she could be shy at times, Mom was able to talk about any subject.She had a quick wit and sharp mind, laughing and joking almost till the end.

Mom was a beautiful and strong woman who was blessed with immense inner strength. Her Faith in God made her my hero. We take comfort in knowing that she is at peace with God and her Savior Jesus Christ. She was much loved and will be dearly missed by those who knew her.
